Kitchen & Bath Studio

Our Studio’s History

Alexandria Kitchen and Bath StudioLocated on the banks of the beautiful Potomac River in Northern Virginia, Old Town Alexandria is a jewel of a town. Established in 1749, the streets have seen their share of war, love, famine, growth and expansion. With cobblestone streets, gas lamps and restored buildings, Old Town honors its history yet embraces a progressive and modern vibe.

The Braemar Studio is located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria at 205 South Union St. Our building was one of the many warehouses that once served Alexandria’s thriving shipping industry. It was likely built around 1877, though part of it may have burned in the fire of 1897. Today, the outside of our building has been maintained and we have renovated the inside into a showroom like none you’ve ever seen.

The Studio Experience

What better place to design your home than in a studio built and restored with architectural and design purity in mind? Inside the Braemar studio, you will be able to view sample cabinet pieces from all of our featured lines including Decora, Schrock and Kitchen Craft. Along with cabinets, we showcase samples of floor tile, backsplash tile, granite, quartz, marble and paint.

The experience we offer through the Environment is unparalleled. Typically, showrooms display thousands of samples. Individuals must view and process massive amounts of inventory, trying to imagine what they would look like pieced together in their redesigned room. At Braemar, you will actually see what your new space will look like through the Environment, a modern visual display program.

The Environment

Braemar is one of few elite design studios offering an experience like the Environment. When designing your new space, you will be seated comfortably on a bar stool facing a large screen TV. On the screen, you will see a visual rendering of the room you are redesigning. On the walls adjacent to the screen, your designer will display various samples of inventory based on your design vision and plan. This will allow you to envision your new space while considering which cabinets and other elements would work best for  you and your home. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
